Velocidade Shin Guard Questions, Answered
Do these protect the ankle as well as the shin?
Yes. The built-in ankle sock has padding on both sides of the ankle to shield the ankle bone, as well as the shin guard itself.
Which size should I choose?
They come in Small, Medium and Large. A good fit covers the shin from just above the ankle to a few centimetres below the knee, without touching the knee. Customers on Amazon say a Medium fits an average 8-year-old well, but children vary, so check the length on their leg if you can.
How do I put them on?
Slide the foot through the ankle sock so the stirrup sits under the foot, position the guard in the centre of the shin, fasten the top strap, then pull football socks up over the top.
Can I use them for hockey?
Yes. They're built for football and hockey. Players who want a dedicated hockey guard can also look at our Fusion hockey shin guards.
Do you have to wear shin guards for football?
Yes. Shin guards are compulsory equipment in football matches under the Laws of the Game, so players need them for every match, and most clubs expect them at training too.
Can I order for my whole team?
Yes. Choose the sizes you need here, or for larger squad orders use our bulk enquiry form and our team will send a quote.
How quickly will they arrive?
Orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Standard UK mainland delivery is free on orders over £35 and takes 2–5 working days.
What if they don't fit?
Return them unused and unworn in their original packaging within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, then place a new order for the size you need. Orders placed between 1 October and 31 December can be returned until 31 January.
