How to Play Rounders
New to the game? Here's how to get started in six simple steps.

1. Set out the posts
Place the four cones as posts around a large square, with a batting spot and a bowling spot in the middle area.

2. Pick two teams
One team bats and the other fields. Fielders spread out to stop the ball and guard the posts.

3. Bowl underarm
The bowler bowls the ball underarm to the batter at a comfortable height.

4. Hit and run
The batter hits the ball, drops the bat and runs anticlockwise round the posts as far as they safely can.

5. Score a rounder
Make it all the way round the four posts to score a rounder for your team.

6. Get them out
Fielders get a batter out by catching the ball, or by touching the post the runner is heading for with the ball first. Then swap sides.

How do you play rounders?
Place the four cones as posts around a large square. The bowler bowls underarm to the batter, who hits the ball and runs anticlockwise round the posts. Get all the way round to score a rounder. The fielding team gets batters out by catching the ball, or by touching the post the runner is heading for with the ball before they reach it.
How many people do you need?
At home or in the park, any number works, from a small family game upwards. In official matches each side fields up to nine players.
Can I buy a spare bat?
Yes. Our 18-inch rounders bat is sold on its own, so bigger groups can always have the next batter ready.
Can schools order several sets?
Yes. Choose the quantity you need here, or for larger school or club orders use our bulk enquiry form and our team will send a quote.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Standard UK mainland delivery is free on orders over £35 and takes 2–5 working days.
Can I return it?
Yes. Return it unused in its original packaging within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. Orders placed between 1 October and 31 December can be returned until 31 January.
